Mass Effect Skinby ~darkstaruav

Customization / Skins & Themes / System Monitoring / Rainmeter

I'm gonna be on vacation and won't be able to update as soon as I would have liked. I won't be able to support or answer questions either.

FEBRUARY 28TH UPDATE

The new, half finished skin has been included in this update. It is included in the new download file and will install alongside the old skin. There are a lot of new features in the new skins, and it's not done yet.

You will need a program called CoreTemp for the temperature display to work properly.

Other things you may need
You will need Rainmeter to run this skin. You can download Rainmeter from [link]

To properly display the temperature gauge in the older skin, you will need Speedfan [link]

Make sure to change the weather code to your location. If you need help [link]

Possible bugs and errors
A word of caution, this was developed in Vista 32 bit, but has been tested and shown working in 32 bit and 64 bit Vista/7 systems (I'm not sure about XP). However, I have had a lot of complaints about bugs. I've never taken any programming in my life, I only know what I have self taught. I know for a fact the RSS reader included is screwed up.

Making the Launcher work
You need to specify your own program paths for the app Launcher. The Launcher skin has been reworked and now includes an EDIT button. Clicking the button opens a text file that can now be used to change the name that appears for the App and the Application path.

Its gone from displaying nothing to displaying 'currently' and that's it, though it still displays in Fahrenheit whether its units=f or units=m!

Hey there, love the theme!

Had the Cerberus one for well other a month now so decided to swap to ME3. Though I've got a little problem with the weather bar! I live in England so always deal in celsius so when I changed the 'units=' bit and refreshed I ballsed it right up and now it wont display anything! I've re-installed the theme and everything but to no avail! Any idea what I could do to get it to work again! Thanks very much!

Ever think about making a ME3 one?

I ask mostly because when I started playing ME3, I immediately noticed the blue layout and such . . . and my friend pointed out that it was hell'a calming-- and I also looked through your gallery and that paragon-ending ME2 sun (when it was blue) was hell'a calming as well, compared to the aggressive red/orange.

But that's just a suggestion.

The blue part of the skin is intended to be more like ME3. Once summer rolls around I will hopefully have more time to work on it, but I'm still very busy with school at the moment.
